you can request 1 free report each year from each of the 3 main agencies, so if you request 1 every 4 months, you can get 3 per year for free.

You will see on websites such as Experian that they offer all sorts of online reports, varying prices, however, if you search the site you will find a section regarding the standard credit report, which they legally must provide for a fee of only £2.

You simply put in your details and they will post to you within a week. They have to offer this by law, however, they don't advertise it too well and would rather have you sign up for an instant online report which is much more expensive,

Lots of them advertise free reports, but you have to input your credit card details and remember to cancel your subscription at a later date.

I would recommend the standard by post option, at only £2 it gives you all the same information and I think it is easier to read than online.

Yes, get it free once a year (some others have given you the site). The thing you must pay for is your credit score if you want it and that is a small amount, maybe $5.99 or something like that to get it. You can request it when you request your free credit report.

You can, yes. Normally when you do some kind of small print will say that you are subscribing to their service. The trick is after you get your credit report - cancel the service and you won't have to pay and you get your free report.
Honestly, it's your information. You should have access to it reguardless. That's the way I feel about it anyway.
