I guess that depends on where in the world you are.
It depends on the content.
But pure water would have no taste to it.
It could however neutralize/dilute any existing taste in your mouth.
Distilled water tastes like nothing.
Natural spring water and fancy bottled waters taste like minerals.
And most tap water tastes like chlorine.
For me water is refreshing n exhilarating.
Water is life.
Water is a fundamental part of our lives.
It is easy to forget how completely we depend on it.
Human survival is dependent on water -- water has been ranked by experts as second only to oxygen as essential for life.
So you know what something so important fro survival would taste like! :)

"Water should have taste, but it's one that most experts agree shouldn't stand out. It can be good tasting or bad and that goes back to the presence of minerals in it. For instance, the absence of sulfur and chlorine add to the taste of the water.
Water should taste as if it had just been scooped from a running stream."

Water tastes of water, as tea tastes of tea and coffee tastes of coffee. They all have distinctive tastes however, you just have to try to find the one you like, a bit like a wine tasting they are all wine but they are all different

I think tap water has a slightly metallic taste. I prefer it to bottled water, however, which to me, tastes a bit oily like lipstick! I dont know anyone else who thought that though so that one must be just me!

I find the strange thing is that bathroom water tastes different to kitchen water in the same house,
tip,
never drink water from the hot tap. I've pulled dead birds and mice from the water storage tanks in a roof, and it is known for mucky plumbers to wash their hands or take a pee in the tank. Happy tea drinking to all who do use the hot water for consumption........................
