Most of the japanese makes are rated for reliability. German, ford vauxhalls also although they tend to get written down by company car drivers.

Anything japanese or german. Audi, BMW, Volkswagon, etc.Toyota, are all excellent. Toyota rocks. They are unbreakable. I drove a 1991 Carina for a while with 150,000 miles on the clock, the engine was 100% sound. They are extremely reliable, resilient cars. You can't really go wrong if you buy a toyota, the only thing is, especially if you get one second hand, be sure to take care of the undercarriage, have it coated with protective substance at the end of winter so it won't rust. If you do this it will last forever.

Toyota and Honda are bullet-proof for reliability, but if something does go wrong they are expensive as parts aren't cheap! (Due to the rareness of their requirement!) Fords are built like tanks and have very cheap repair costs, because Ford are massive! Vauxhall provide amazing innovation, almost to a French level, and are reliable but poorly put together. Unlike the French though, mechanically they are sound. German is your all-round best bet, but suffers from the same repair costs as the Japanese!
Solution:
Cheap = Ford
Reliable = Japanese
Reliable + Prestige = Germany
Make your decision depending upon what you want!
NEVER but Italian again! For any purpose other than Supercar!

Hi!
I have a Land Rover Discovery which has 7 seats.
It starts every day without fail. Never had any problems with it.
I had a front end car crash at 70mph and walked away from it! I have since learned that the bumpers on Land Rovers are made from iron and not plastic (like all the other people carriers), which is what saved me. Believe me when I tell you that moments before I crashed, I thought I was going to die.
I won't have my kis in any other car.
Hope this helps!

Honda Jazz is top in reliability stakes and rescue services rarely if ever get to work on them.
