Porridge, bicarb, plain water or a baby moisturising bath. All were ok for my 3 year old. Calpol, Calprofen and calamine all helped.

Aveeno, colloidal oatmeal bath powder in a warm tub, does wonders. And of course, don't forget the calamine lotion when dried off from bathing.

Don't waste your money on Aveeno.
Grind up some oatmeal in your blender and add it to the bath water. THis will soothe the itching.

If you put a small amount of bicarb of soda in it will soothe the itching. Dont use calamine lotion when he/she comes out as it makes the itchiness more intense.
Hope your little one feels better soon. x
