Buy different hot dogs! Hot dogs are sold BY THE POUND. There could be 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 or 10 hot dogs in the pound depending on the brand and style. Buns are generally sold in packages of 8 or 12. If it really bothers you, only buy hot dogs that come in 8-packs when you buy 8 buns.

Strange... Here in Northern California; I buy Ball Park Franks and they come in an 8-pack... and the store sells buns (Rainbow) in 8-packs.
Could there actually be a California state law that REQUIRES the buns and hotdogs be sold to match ?
I guess what you could do is take the 2 spare dogs and chop them up into baked beans or chilie :-?

It's a conspiracy by the bun and hot dog companies to get you to buy more product. If you have 8 buns and 10 dogs to a pack, you have to by 5 packs of buns and 4 packs of dogs.
Smart, those food maker people!

Thats just typical, what a rip off, i'll bet anything the stinking supermarkets ask for stuff like that just so you buy more buns.
I'm going to e-mail Tesco's and tell them they smell of wee.

They want you to buy more buns and after you buy more buns, you'll need more hot dogs. That is how they make money.
