According the American Kennel Club, the Labrador Retriever is the most popular dog breed in the United States, and has been for the past 16 years.
The Golden Retriver is #2, with the Yorkie coming in at #3 for the first time ever.

In my opinion, it is the German Shepherd Dog. I have had a few in the past and they are wonderful dogs! Although, Chihuahuas are great too. That is what breed I have right now. They are the perfect traveling dog!

You most likely have never heard of this breed. They are very rare to find breeders but Chessapeake Bay Retrievers are the way to go. I have 2 myself and they are great! They are smart, entergetic, loving, friendly, and great with children. They are also very easy to train. For more info go to www.lakeshorekennels.com This is the breeder i got my dogs from.

labs there the best kind of dog but if you want a smaller dog i would recommend the miniature schnauzer.

get a japanese akita... they are the most loyalest dogs you can have... and they are great with kids... they will always guard there terrortory too.
