Answering from an evolutionary perspective, the chicken came first, but it was in a egg before it hatched. The real question is what did the thing look like that laid the egg??? Some prehistoric looking chicken that could take your head off. It most likely evolved over time and eventually after an ice age or two, spit out an egg that hatched what we call today a good barbeque...lol

It is a excepted fact,in the scientific community, that the egg came before the chicken. As dinosaurs and reptiles laid eggs and are in the foscil records before the 1st chickens or even birds then the egg came 1st. Creationists may disagree though.

egg - at somepoint something that wasn't quite a chicken laid an egg in which was found a chick. Assuming evolution works. If you take creationism then it's really whether God created chicken or eggs first. Logic suggests it would have been chickens, or there would have been nothing to incubate and thereby hatch the eggs.
There what do you believe? Evolution or creationism?

logicaly god created all living creatures and trees , sky and natural resources so of course the chicken came first. U would have to have the chicken come first and god would have had to make 2 of them so the mother can become pregnant and then the egg would be born and that would get pregnant with another chicken and they would have babies and then the chickens would start spreading. Today there is so many that people have enough of them that they can kill alot of them so people can get there food because alot of people LOVE chicken!

The chicken. God created the creatures in their maturity and they reproduced.
Nothing will ever make me believe that a whole chicken or an egg evolved by accident.

This is tricky but i reckon it was def the chicken, an egg has no legs and would find it difficult to win a race.

bibical: god created the chicken
evolution: some other bird created a chicken egg, (egg first) or i guess you could go by that some bird gave live birth to a chicken lol.. but that birds dont do that.. so go with the egg first lol

It must have been the chicken----but somebody "made" the chicken and if they didnt "make" the chicken --then they "made" the egg
