I have this friend, Mike. He's my best friend. I've known him for about three months. Everyone tells us that we would be so perfect for eachother. We also have this friend, Nicole. Nicole feels that Mike doesn't want to be her friend and doesn't like her. To assure her that he was wrong, at lunch today, I asked Mike, "Hey Mike, is Nicole your friend?" and he replied "Yes. She is my friend." and Nicole replied "No, he's lieing." Then Mike said "No, If I was lieing, it would take me a long time to answer..." We continued eating, not thinking anything of it, and so I talked to him. "Mike, if I ask you a question, will you be completely honest with me?" He said "Sure." so I asked "Do you like me as more than a friend?" There was a long pause and he said "...No, not really" and we left it at that. Next hour Nicole brought it to my attention that he paused when he said no. was that his way of telling me yes? Or does he really not like me? I'm hanging out with him and friends tonight.

no he doesnt like you. it was just awkward. also, how can you know someone for only 3 months and hes ur best frend? my best frend i've known for 7 years.

just let the answer mike gave you go. you and friends will be spending time with him tonight. besides, you are knowing him now as a friend. this way he has no pressure. don't worry about getting hung up in a serious relationship now. you would have to break up before going to college and then it would be harder to see him during holidays and things like that. if you part as friends, things can go as normal. good luck

he's not sure about how he feels about you... but still your friend nicole has some strange problems...no offense...what was with that mike is not my friend? ah maybe she fancies him...oh boy i think that's it... she likes him so she does all those stupid stuff to hear him say he likes her even if it's as a friend... it could be considered a way of flirting you know?

it seems as if he does like u- not really is not yes and its not no.
AND he paused. But he could have paused to be polite. Not just come out and say "hell no i dont like u". my guess is hes confused.

He's probably likes her but doesn't want to hurt your feelings. To make sure, ask him if he likes her. If he hesitates again or acts like he probably does, then he does. If it doesn't work out in your favor, maybe he can get you to meet one of his cute friends.

i think he does..but if he really doesnt..then i wouldnt be able to trust him..cause then he would of lyed to you...y didnt you say are you lying? cause you said that when you pause when your lying ?..thats wht i would of said...
