I began going to the gym a few days with the intent of getting toned. mondays, wednesday, and friday i do weights. all the other days I run. after my first workout though my arms feel like they're going for fall off! I knew i would be sore for a day or so but its 3 days later and my arms are still sore. Is that natural?

That means you worked a little too hard. You should be sore the next day and possible the one after that, but 3 days is too long. Take it a little easy since youre just going back. Also, make sure you stretch a lot because that helps with the soreness. You should lift weight that you can do at least three sets of 8 with. If you can't maintain that, go a little lower. Once you get into it, you'll figure out what's a good treshhold for yourself.

everytime i go into the weights room in school the next day usually my stomach and arms are hurting...my stumach still is its been to days as i did these weird leg ups...but its showing you that you have worked out though!! so you have obviously worked hard..its hurting cause you not use to pushing your body...you muscle are soar because they have been worked, whihc they may not be use to...don't worry about it, after a few times at the gym your body will get use to it!

no it usually isnt but you might be working a little to hard and the soreness is your muscles rebuilding themselves stronger because when your work out your muscels get tiny tears in them and they rebuild larger than before.
