The CAD/CAM generated Procera Crowns are made of biocompatible material (99.5 percent Alumina oxide). They have both strength and esthetics like translucency that of original tooth in comparison to other brands/materials. This material is comparable to Titanium, which minimizes the risk of allergic reactions, hence, expensive. More and more people have already started asking for material not containing metal or other alloys.

There are no functional weaknesses with Procera crowns. But it is quite important to note that due to strength or hardness of these crowns the opposing teeth also need to be having same kind of crowns. Otherwise there is possibility that these may do some harm to the opposing teeth. In the event there is no need for a crown on the opposing teeth, then PFM gold crown would be the right answer.

Hi there, the differences between the Magistrates and the Crown are as follows: The magistrates are mostly lay people who do not get paid for their position, but can claim expenses. They are guided by the court clerk. Magistrates receive training but are not legally qualified. The majority of criminal cases start out in the Magistrates court. If the offence is a summary offence it will be dealt with by the magistrates. If the offence is triable either way the Magistrates may accept jurisdiction or decline and send the case to the crown. This happens when the Magistrates do not consider their sentencing powers sufficient. If an offence triable either way is accepted the Magistrates can still send the defendant to the Crown for sentencing anyway. An indictable offence will automatically be sent to the Crown court on committal. There is no jury in a Magistrates court and they are well known for rubber stamping decisions and being a police court. The Crown has a jury who decide the matter of guilt. There are advantages and disadvantages to both courts for a defendant, but individual factors have to be taken into account when deciding which court to elect if the offence is triable either way. In the Magistrates court Solicitors appear for their clients, whereas in the Crown court Barristers are instructed to act.

these crowns are both all porcelain!! to do a procera crown the preparation is scanned using computer technology then milled in a special machine. Porcelain jacket crowns traditionally were made either using a platinum foil as a matrix which is removed in the lab before it goes to the dentist. they also can be done using a refractory investment which also is removed. some older dentists still refer to any all porcelain crown as a porcelain jacket.
most of the time an all porcelain crown is done either by the milling technique, or by a pressable technique. both of these types of crowns have good fit if done properly, and i would recommend either of them for better aesthetics, as compared to a porcelain fused to metal crown. oh and the reason the procera is more expensive is because it is more expensive to make!

Porcelin Jacket Crown (PJC) can be done privately or under the NHS, Procera is a private crown. Procera is more expensive as this is made using the latest technology and computer aided design, lasers take exact measure ments enabling a better fitting restoration to be made, also aesthetically they will look better.

porcera is full ´porcelain and looks alot better, it allows tht light to shine through, giving a more natural appearance, where as a porcelain jacet crown has metal underneath ( u cant see it ) resulting in no light getting through,
porcera is a good crown, but they can be weaker then porcelain jacket as the have no metal, if its a front corwn though and u can afford it, go for the porcera
if its a molar go for the porcelain jacket
hope that helps
