Actually I believe there is ONE known case of this happening. I don't remember the source but I'm sure you can google it. Think about it though, both types of HSV (Herpes Simplex Virus), as well as many forms of HPV (Human papilloma Virus, the virus that can cause genital wards), as well as a few other STDs (I believe Hepatitis is one as well, you'll have to check on that one though) can be transmitted orally, even by kisses.
There is a link on the page below, where I got some information about the topic for a health class assignment, although this is not the source I was talking about.
Before ANYONE tells you that you can't get a transmittable disease a certain way, 1)View if they have a source to go by or 2) Research it yourself if you what the right answer. People are stupid and ignorant on this site, I've seen posts saying its impossible to get pregnant and get HPV if you use a condom on here.

No, HIV/AIDS can only be transmitted through sexual contact, sharing needles/syringes and contact with infected blood. However, the Center for Disease Control does recommend against open-mouth kissing with HIV-positive people because of the potential for contact with blood. Still, the risk of getting HIV from kissing is very low. Also according to the CDC, there have been no cases were contact with salivia has resulted in transmission of HIV.

first off it is HIV not VIH unless that is another one i am not aware of. and no it cannot unless the person with aids has a open cut in there mouth and you do too. but this is very unlikely to occur and if it does then it is also not likely to make it into that cut.

Only if you drink a bucketful!
There has been no clinical evidence to date to support transference of HIV through the miniscule amounts of saliva exposed in kissing. Sensible precautions are always advised but go ahead and snog.

No, only by bodily fluids. That doesn't include saliva. I bet there are some great websites on AIDS, but I haven't looked for them. Good luck.

No, it cant be passed on by saliva. The risk with kissing is that if you have bleeding gums and you kiss someone with bleeding gums who has HIV then you are at risk.
