Christianity is a religion that has been around for two thousand years, and yet many in Britain reject it as being a false. How do you know? How many of you have actually read the Bible from front to back? How many of you have done your research? Is evolution real, or have you been deceived into believing a "crackpot, 19th century mystery religion?" After all, science is a religion because you have faith in its veracity just like Christians and other theists do in their beliefs.

Where are the missing links? 9 out of 12 of the "missing links" to man have been refuted. If we have been around so long, then why are we not finding more human remains? And geez, for enlightened people, some of you sure are pretty rude. But, I don't care, I know the truth!

Well said! May I add that the reason why some unbelievers reside in this section is to credit science with everything which is their religion to try to refute creationism.

Evolution is a fact and so is many religions, I correct you on science being a religion for it is not.
And i will also remind you that there are religions that are more than two thousand years old, Christianity is but a child to most religions.
I do not reject any religion, from all of them we learn something good or bad and what we take it is up to the individual.
Everything on this world needs to evolve even the universe its called survival in some sense.
What is truth something that everyone wants to believe or are we like the multitude following hope.
And regards to human remains what is so important about remains even the dinosaurs remains are hard to find, so you know the truth that is alright by me at least you have something you believe in.

Religion is much older than 2000 years.
Sun deities have been worshipped throughout ALL recorded history. Crystal spirituality a modern phenomena.
If it's older is it more false? More modern then it's true?
Judgement made on age are largely irrelevant.
I read the Bible, Koran (English translation), bits of the Talmud and a few other religious texts.
I've also read Darwin - the originals are not easy to read. Buy a good biology book instead.
Science is not religion. Science is based on hypothesis and experiment. Religion is an act of faith.
Faith is not the same as verifiable fact.
Faith is fine - bring back the sun gods.

Britain is a part of Old Europe, a culture that has developed through exposure to all the major scientific, cultural, social, philosophical, educational and religious thinking of the world. How can we explain to a nation that fears, science, intellectuals, freethinkers, and education, that Science is not a Religion , and Evolutionary theory is not a mystery cult? Having absorbed all the crackpot religious cultures of the world ( especially the Pilgrim Fathers) American religious believers now think they have discovered some special truth . Grow up America, get educated!!

You completely lost the argument the minute you made the assumption that religion and science are the same.
If youre religion was faced with evidence contradicting it, would it change its dogmatic rhetoric? NO. But science changes its theories when faced with new evidence. So, youre WRONG WRONG WRONG.
And, do you really think that reading the Bible is going to make it less false?? I declare that witches can fly on broomsticks - and if you dont beleive me, then all you have to do is read Harry Potter!
And for the record, Ive read the Bible front to back many times. Thats one of the main reasons I reject it as a fairy tale. Egyptian polytheism is older than Christianity - so I guess it must be more right than your beliefs, simply due to age? Same with the Greeks, Babylonians, Mayans, Vikings, etc... They are all older than your religion. So, by your very difinition, they are all more right than yours....
Learn how to make a good argument and you wont paint yourself into a corner next time.

You're young and false.
The use of non-sequiturs is cheap and meaningless rhetoric. I've read the Bible, and even found an error in Ussher's chronology. I know enough zoology that you can't get two of each kind into the ark with a blender. I know done enough work in genetics to see how genes evolved. I am a skeptic, and I have constantly reproven evolution to myself. I don't cut and paste old disproven data, hoping that if it gets posted frequently enough, it may miraculously become true. Deceit in the name of religion is so low -- you should rise above it.

A lot of what you know starts by what you believe. The almighty example is that there is air, cannot see it physically but you can see the effects. So you would first have to answer yourself, Do I Believe There Is A GOD???. .. Yeah, I have read all the begots and begats and everything before, between and after in the BIBLE.... so then you read, then what is YOUR interpretation. I can stand here all day telling you mine, but that will not give you opportunity to know GOD on a more personal level and what you would foresee how HE wants you to have a relationship with HIM. Evolution, to me is only a theory and not fact. Yeah, seems to be some evolution of society and language along with sociality. Seems like religion becomes a science and vice versa trying to look for THE TRUTH. So this is how I ended up. I believe that all people have different convictions. Mine might not be same as yours as yours with mine, but together we meet the same GOD that has prepared greater things for us in life. In unison we fellowship together to glorify the ONE who has created us and respect each other here on earth as we grow in HIM. So if we worship the same GOD then we already have something in common and becomes the stepping stone that will eventually allow us to "meet in person", so to speak.... hope to see you in Heaven !!

It's not the age of a doctrine that makes it true or false. Some things written in ancient books are still valid today, just as some things written today will still be valid two thousand years from now. But just because some parts are true doesn't mean that everything collected in the same ancient book is true. Some of it might be outmoded, based on the writers' primitive understanding of the universe. And some of it might have been just plain dumb to begin with.

Evolution is more real than a religion based off of one book which has NO corroborating evidence whatsoever and whose true authors are a mystery, and which has never been proven in the slightest way...
Evolution has mountains of overwhelming evidence that cannot be merely brushed aside because it was discovered in the 19th century...
Furthermore, science is NOT a religion...
Science: Systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation.
Religion: A set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
Clearly, there is a distinct difference...

Science is a religion? Since when? There's nothing within the realm of science I worship, pray to or otherwise blindly follow.
Do you even know what 'faith' means? To believe in something without proof.
With science, there is substantial proof.. it's not like a group of scientists pull this information out of their butts and say, let's see how this flies.
Do you believe in Buddhism? Or Hinduism? They're actually MUCH older than Christianity. Or do you believe them to be false?
The British have got it right -- they're casting away a frivilous ideology and moving on.
EDIT: You KNOW the truth? Or just the truth that is being SPOONFED to you from those inane websites you're citing?

Gee, I wonder why all of the quotes on that web site are over 15 years old... hey, I know! That's because many evolutionary "links" have been found since then, and the gaps of the theory are being filled in every day. Whereas creationism has as much actual basis as any Greek or Norse myth.
