Ok well I love my boyfriend a lot and all but these last few months hes been “chatting” with all these girls he doesn’t even know on IM (thankx to yahoo answers) and then when he talks to me hes always saying things like “ha it was so funny, I was taking to this chick i met online the other day and blah blah blah” it seems like that’s all he can talk about and it really hurts!! I just don’t know what to do... someone please help me. Im so confused!!! Am I just being selfish or is there something to really be worried about there? The other day I came across him on yahoo answers and all his answers were like “oh and you should IM me because I could use more friends ;) lol” should I talk to him about it? Or am I just overreacting?

I would talk to him. You are not just being selfish and while it all starts out innocent and may stay that way it is obviously affecting your relationship. Why does he put himself in potentially dangerous situations that could eventually ruin what you two have??? Ask him. Tell him how you feel.
Good luck!!!

You should definitely let him know that his online chatting is a problem for you. If you don't you will only get angrier and start to not trust him. The internet has been the downfall of many relationships. Bottom line is this, decide if you trust him or not. Only you can decide. Do you think he is chatting just to pass time or trying to hook up?

Wow....I'm dealing with the same kind of thing, myself! And, like you, I am questioning my own judgment. At this point, I'm on the verge of breaking things off with my guy.

He says it is harmless entertainment, etc. I don't buy it. Besides that, if it is entertainment he needs.....we do have a bed upstairs, ya know? He rarely wants to use it, though.

It does hurt and cause serious trust issues. I am not insecure...but, gosh!

I guess that the best thing we can do is to listen to our instincts....what our gut tells us is right. Good luck, and send me an email if you need a pal.

Thanks!

I think you are overreacting, the mere fact that he's telling you about it is because there are just friends
