No, grandparents do not have any rights to the grandchildren.

Unfortunatley, they seem to if an accident happens to the parents and there aren't any god parents.

What have you done so wrong to have your children keep you away from their children. Were you an abusive parent or what?

IF you know you weren't a good parent, and realize this, maybe you could try and tell your child how you know you have lost out with them, but to give you a chance.

All you can do is look within for change.

That is the fault and ignorance of the parents...I would ask, plead, beg or anything else I had to do to try and find out WHY I was not allowed to talk to my grandchild. How sad that the parents are using their child as a pawn.Unfortunately no, we grandparents don't really have many rights.

I supposed either you are the grandparent or the offspring of such a grandparent.
You must have done something to offend the mother, if not I don't see why the child wouldn't be allowed to speak to you.
but no, no rights

No I dont think so. Grandparents have the privilege of the grandchildren but no rights over the parents.

for certain things they do have the right . my sister is in that psoition right now. for this subject they do. if a child is not allowed to talk to their family then if they really love them and are about them then they will talk to them because that is not right to ban the phone from a childs family.

YES, GRANDPARENTS RIGHTS ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT AS PARTENTAL RIGHTS. I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO CONTACT A LAWYER AND GET VISITATION RIGHTS INFORCED. IF, FINANCIALLY NOT ABLE TO DO THIS ON YOUR OWN, CHECK INTO A LEGAL SERVICE THAT DOES THIS FOR LOW INCOME OR PROBONO.
