To put the record straight Georgi Markov,a translator working for the BBC was at a bus stop when he felt a pain in his leg. It was discovered that a microscopically small pellet with Ricin in it had been fired into him from a gun disguised as an umbrella.The case is still open , but it is thought that the assassination was carried out by the KGB, as Markov was a dissident.This happened on the 7th September 1978.

Are you sure you don't mean Albert R. Broccoli, the producer of James Bond movie's, LOL. Actually you could say they stuck castor bean's in his leg, in the form of ricin, a poison made from the bean's, with the sharp tipped umbrella.
