THis has nothing to do with the guy.
His fiance is way to uptight. Bring it up with him, over the phone. Tell him that if his fiance wants, you'll end the friendship. She obviously feels threatened by you and your friendship.
If you can talk to her. Tell her that you are NOT interested in her fiance, and that he has been a friend of yours for a long time. You don't want to lose him, but if she would be more comfortable you'll go away.
See what happens.

You need to some how get a hold of this friend and talk to him. tell him how he feels. if he is truly your friend he will not let this girl get in the way of that. you need to tell that girl that you to have been friends way before she came along and she needs to cool it. Some guys let girls get them twisted up but like i said if he is a good friend he will understand and tell that girl something

im in a similar situation, im friends with this married guy and im engaged, and i dont like him like that, but we live near each other and he jokes around about stalking me and looking in my windows. well his wife got into his emails, and emailed me a couple days ago like, "is there something i should know about? this is inappropriate.." and i wrote back very politely and was like we are just friends, im sorry if you took it any other way, we always joke around. (and don't get any ideas everyone, it wasnt bad at all, just friendly conversation)
now i havent talked to him since! what the hell!!!
so lame!

First of all, that is BS! If this guy is as good as friends with you as you say he is, then he shouldn't be letting his fiance walk all over you like that and harass you. He shoud atleast be defending you in SOME way, you are his friend!! and friends come first......jerk.....

He is your friend, and has the right to have his own life...I take it he wasn't your boyfriend right? If he was, that's different. But if you were only platonic friends, then let her know you have no interest in him romantically and that you guys were friends before he met her.
