This is ONE guy who had a powerful personality. We see what happens with powerful personalities today -- they can influence millions. Millions believe that Beny Hinn can heal; millions believe that Sylvia Brown is a psychic. We have people wanting to believe Paul was inspired and putting into the bible stories of his miracles; that's like Benny Hinn's followers writing that they saw him perform a miracle! What else do we have?

You either know or you don't. If you want to independently verify it, that's a whole other matter.

I can't independently verify it for you. But I can suggest things for you to consider. As strong a personality as Paul may appear to you, ask yourself whether he was doing things for his own personal glory and gain or because he was a loyal servant of God. What powerful personality is happy to sit in prison for extended lengths of time like Paul did, without seeking a mob to demand his release, without seeking high-powered legal counsel to get him out? Paul was imprisoned for preaching salvation through Jesus and for attempting to establish Christ's Church. If Paul were merely working for Paul, would he not express outrage and seek to rally the troops to get himself acquitted of the charges against him?

What Paul did was remain in prison, faithfully ministering to others all the while. He didn't worry too much about himself or his circumstances. He cared only for truth and for guiding others to seek it through Christ. Paul constantly pointed to Jesus as the authority, and discouraged people from putting any faith in Paul himself. Paul sought no glory, no reward, and no damages. Is this what ego-driven people tend to do?

So, think on these things before making your final judgment of Saul of Tarsus, the former capturer of Christians so that they could be brought to execution. ... Did you know that about him, by the way? That he used to enjoy rounding up Christians so that they could be put to death? This was the job he delighted in before Christ appeared to him on the road to Damascus.

Because everything written in the Bible was inspired by G-D. I don't believe any human back in those days or even today could write those kind of words with out a supernatural intervention.
G-D wanted his words to be written for mankind as a guide to life and to follow his wisdom and his rules, as always G-D works through man, and he did so when writing the Bible. The bible also states anyone removing or changing a word will suffer the consequence. So their has been great pain in writing every word as it was first written.

First of all

We have witnessess to Pauls conversion on the road to Damascus. They saw the light and Pauls resulting blindness.

Next we have

Ananias (one of the early disciples) who was told by God to go see Paul and that God would restore Pauls sight. Ananias did not want to do this as he knew the old Paul and felt that it was a trap and he would be killed.

Next we have

Paul embracing Jesus ministry, not his own. In the book of Acts we see that Peter and Paul both have to tell followers to no bow down to them, they are mere men. They tell them that the one to follow is Jesus Christ and not man.

Paul never takes credit for anything that is done in his writings, he always states that it is the work of God and not himself or men. Benny Hinn loves to take credit and glory. Sylvia brown is always relying on "her" powers.

That is the huge difference, who gets the glory for what is done, God or the man or woman.

You have a religion that grew from a few people and spread across the world. Other than that, you have to take him at his word.

Jesus appeared to him. He was against the apostles and was on his way to do something awful where Jesus appeared to him on a path. He converted to Christianity and look how he turned out.
