I was working in a gentlemans house today when he asked me if i fancied a cuppa tea. Great right? Wrong. It tasted fine until i got to the bottom of the cup, when i discovered that the cup hadnt been washed since his last cup and that he must have been dunking biscuits into it because there were a load soggy crumbs in the bottom. I thought i did well not crying!!!

When accepting drinks in stranger's houses, I always have black coffee. The boiling water at least partially sterilises the cup. I have been offered dirty, cracked cups but never anything as bad as that.
One incident that I do recall was years ago at an hotel near Cardiff. I noticed a ring of dried milk round the inside of the jug and asked for a replacement. The scum in a waiter's uniform merely topped up the milk, obscuring the fouling. I have never stayed at any hotels in that group since.

Yes Friend of a friend baked cookies for the kids at school. When the cookie was turned over, there were ants, lots of them, baked into the cookie.
One on me, I left a diet coke on the coffee table, not thinking vermin would be attracted, since it did not have sugar in it. Went back to drink it, and there was a fly in it. I was sure he had just got there, the acid in the soda would have partially dissolved it.

Well I would love to say no I haven't...but I have!

I have travelled around Asia and you would expect something dodgy to happen there, but no.

It was in a bar in Blackpool, there was karaoke and I ordered a diet coke as I was driving (and singing sober!)

I felt something strange in my mouth and it could only be described as a coke stained maggot!!!!! I chewed the thing and then took it back to the bar and the girl looked at this lad and said 'you deal with it!' I couldn't believe it.

Finn's....stay away from place!

Years ago when I was pregnant and at my ex mother-in-laws she offered me a cold fizzy drink. I got a glass of bitter lemon in a glass that was obviously used for a party before, it had old sugar stuck all around the rim, luckily I was in the kitchen and tipped it down the sink.

That has got to be the grossest thing I ever read- I really feel sick - poor you!

Let that be a lesson to you - take a bottle of water with you wherever you go for your 'special diet'. That's what I do.

I bought a glass of diet coke once in a pub in town. Put it down for a minute and when I took a mouthful someone had spit (a greb) in it. Was so disgusted it made me sick.

Did you ever consider the gentleman may have poor eyesight? I know it disgusted you, but the polite thing to do would have excused yourself, went to the bathroom and upchucked, remember how he would have felt if he had known. And above all remember-you too will get old one day.

That is pretty disgusting. I haven't had anything like that happen to me, fortunately. However, one time my parents when to New Orleans a long time ago and there were flies in their ice cubes. Ewwww:p
