ummmmm, the ab slider that I had did not work well at all, especially if you are talking about the one on a wheel with handles? The best thing that worked for me was old fasioned cruches and leg lifts. When you are doing crunches, use a towel ( like a hand towel) for resistence. Hold the ends with both of your hands so that your arms a a little further than shoulder width apart. You don't have to spend money to get a good abs work out. If you have a friend. then lay on your back with your feet together and in the air ( wear no shoes first but as you get better put on tennis, the heavier the better) and have your friend push your legs to the floor. Don't let your feet touch the ground! stop them about 2 inches from the floor. Remember to keep your legs straight and together! I hope this helps!

Ab machines can work on your abdominal muscles, but they won't do a thing for the fat that covers them. To get rid of that you need a diet. ;)

BTW, a rolling pin on the floor works exactly the same muscles as an Ab Slider and only costs $5 at Wal Mart.

Do not buy any piece of equipment for your abs. The only way you will have nice tight toned abs is to get rid of all the fat first with proper nutrition and exercise. The ab slider will make your abs stronger and bigger but with the layer of fat over your abs it will make you look even bigger.

This will not cause to to lose many calories as it is not a high cardio intense exercise. This is good to do in conjunction with cardio such as running, swimming, jump rope, etc. And secondly, to get abs, you must eat a super low fat diet with little carbs.

Not at all! I tried it a couple years ago. No result and it hurt my back.

If you would like to try it, go ahead... but doing sit-ups are more helpful for that situation. Some cardio is also a good idea.
