When did he have time or opportunity to write all that in between trying to mediate between God and the Israelites and keeping them in line? Also, how would anyone know to take those manuscripts with them to the Promised Land and that they would have the future importance that they did?

It's also interesting that the last 11 lines of the last book was written by Moses after he died.

They weren't written by Moses...they were dictated. It's been a while, but I believe this happened when the Israelites were walking in the wilderness for 40 years, so plenty of time there.
