How does destroying an already unstable country (and region for that matter) help to END terrorism? Do you not think that a coordinated effort by the major world powers (not just the US and UK) would be more effective? Why or why not?

I am not saying cut and run, but do you still believe that we are ending terrorism in Iraq? I do not think we should leave it in the shambles it is in now. Terrorism was around long before this war and will be around as long as people are around. If we invaded every country that has aided, harbored or produced terrorists we would be in every place except the north and south poles.

We have indeed created our own special brand of terrorists. Occupation was not the answer for this society. Bush nor any man or group of men have the ability to enter a country knowing nothing about the language and culture of its people; tanks rolling, soldiers sitting in turrets, guns blazing, scaring the hell out to people who really couldn't understand why the United States would help to eliminate one horror, while creating still another.
This occupation will soon dwindle. Someone will figure out a way to bring the troops home and still save face. But it will be a long time in coming. "Liberating" Iraq was one of the biggest mistakes made by this administration. And bringing in more so-called 'world powers' will do nothing except to bring about more reason for 'terrorists' to continue the fight. This is Iraq. It is THEIR country, not ours. It is THEIR oil, not ours. Our forefathers stole this country. The same thing will not happen in Iraq. We have created too many enemies. Not just in Iraq, but throughout the world.

A 'coordinated effort' - yea right.
Germany and France has sweet commercial deals with Saddam. China and Russia will veto any action against Iran because of their business deals.
France will veto anything that they do not personally profit from.
The rest of Europe will do nothing to solve problems - just demand that the US solve the problems for them.
The really sad thing is the people who ask if setting up a prosperous democracy in Iraq will help solve terrorism are demonstrating their lack of geography skills.
Try this - consider the countries that were major players in supporting international terrorism. (Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Syria).
Now look at a map and not what countries we either occupy or have military forces on the borders of.

Whether you agree (or not) with the reasons we went into Iraq, cutting & running would just embolden the terrosists.
Clinton's lack of action after the 1993 WTC bombing did just that and was a major factor in their desision to do the 9/11 attack.
Leaving now would allow the terrorists to have the entire country under their control, much like Afghanistan was prior to our going in there.

SEEING as terrorists were not in iraq prior to 9-11 i would say yes there is still a bunch of idiots out there. Its funny how Sadam had no Al qeada (the group we funded in the 80's to fight the soviets) correlation. People in Iraq are just fighting for their own lives. Whole families get slaughtered there when all they wanted to do was go to the store to get milk. Its horrible. Most of the Hijackers came from Saudi Arabia,
but government ties
is really why the government lies.
coordinated efforts in terrorist camps would be effective.
Will it happen? doubtfuly

We patriots don't want to destroy Iraq we actually want to help the Iraqi people be free and we believe it is their right as human beings. Al Qaeda doesn't belong in Iraq but Sodom ( the man the Iraqi people want put to his death) gave Al Qaeda lots of money and if we leave they will kill the innocent who need our help!

Sure listen to Rush and Hannity and the dumb asses who listen and believe in them. Saddam kills 300,000 and get hung we kill 600,000 and get mad because we do not get reelected. We have made more terrorist then we have killed, most Americans don't understand why they were mad enough to strike the WTC on 9/11 and don't care. It is our right to kill any and everyone we feel we should so we can stick our noses in their business. I know I saw what they did to the South and our families!
God Bless You and the Southern People.
