I just got offf the phone with the Scottish & Newcastle people in San Rafael, Calif (tel. 415.479.5700).

A very polite lady there said that S&N has pulled John Courage, Bemish and McEwan's I.P.A. from the United States, in order to focus more effort on Newcastle brown Ale.
S&N are also introducing a new beer to America.
It's called "Grimborgen" (at least I think that is how she told me it was spelled).

Are you as bummed about this as I am?
Dammit, I want my Courage!!!!

supahtfor...
I DO brew my own beer.
But one can only get so good with home-brew.

Besides, what makes the beer is the water...and where I live, my choices are Arkansas spring water or Oklahoma lake water (yeck!)

Nnnooooo! Only one local pub was serving Courage, but I thoroughly enjoy it (Princess Pub, San Diego). And McEwan's is another favorite of mine at the same pub - gahhh.

Soon it will be like going to pubs in Britain - all you can get is....Budweiser!

Well if he goes away for a while, i hope he changes his style, come back with something fresh and new, personally, im tired of his marine character, and i would be so happy if he returned as a heel, but i dont see that happening.

No, but my husband will be when I tell him. He just asked for that at the pub Sunday night.
