It's right in the bible 1Cor 6:9-11 it says 'men who lay with men... will not inherit God's kingdom' Then why do people say it's not wrong.... when it's obvious that God doesn't approve?

It's a mistranslation.

All the passages in the Bible regarding "homosexuality" are either misunderstood, mistranslated or currently irrelevant.

Sodom and Gomorrah was a story that warned us against inhospitableness, xenophobia and rape. The reason for Sodom's destruction is made clear in Ezekiel 16:48-50 and it does NOT mention homosexuality.

The passages in Leviticus were part of the Holiness Code which has been done away with and is no longer binding to modern-day Christians.

1 Corinthians is a mistranslation - the word malakee in this passage is used elsewhere in the Bible to mean someone who lacks discipline or one who is morally weak, and never is it used in reference to sexuality or gender.

1 Timothy is also a mistranslation. 1 Timothy was an admonishment against male prostitution, not committed, loving same sex relationships.

The passage in Romans speaking of homosexuality being "unnatural" was misunderstood. It in fact spoke out against behavior that is uncharacteristic for THAT particular person.

Because we dint believe in the validity of the Bible. Here are a few reasons.

1. It contradicts itself dozens if not hundreds of times.

2. It has been mistranslated several times, and the cumulative effect is that it now makes mention of dozens of concepts which aren't even mentioned in the original text.

3. In order to be "perfect" and therefore worthy of our worship, god would have to be perfectly fair. This would mean giving each of his children (us) an equal shake at getting into heaven. However, some people in the bible actually conversed with his earthly manifestation (which I would say is proof of his existence for those folks) while billions have and will live their entire lives without hearing Jesus' name. Oh yeah, that's really fair.

4. He who proclaims to love us and want us to unify in peace and harmony is so divisive that even his followers can't agree on the details enough to get along (IE Baptists, Catholics, Mormons, Presbyterians, etc. all think the other ones are all wrong). Sheesh... god must be an idiot.

Homosexuality is hormonal defects like other handicaps that you were born with. It is not a choice and since the Bible have written a lot of defects in people that cannot even be admitted to enter the tent where the Temple or Arc of the Covenant is or where God's people should engage in the battlefield, I guess there is some kind of cleansing needed at that time. Other Old belief considers the person with defects as cursed by God yet I could only understand it at that time when only able man are needed in order to survive a long time struggle of people who are always at war. Homosexuals on one hand through they may not have any physical defects, their mindset was not believed then to be as strong and creative as they are in this generation. They were compared to women who are weak and can be easily tempted. Other thoughts about them in the olden times were just fabrications by their own society/tribes that went from generation to generation not necessarily from God already.
In this generation, we have accepted not only the Homosexuals and other people with handicaps to be a part of the society and afforded with equal rights and opportunity to live like the normal people. I believe that when people in a larger community accept those as humanly right and since God has given the people their Free Will to choose what they think is right and as long as these people with different identity live righteously, then God's Blessings is not far from being given to them the same way the He gives His blessings to normal people. A time will come when the writings on the Bible no longer be as confusing as how we understand it today.
P.S. I use the word "normal" as only a choice of word to differentiate the two classes of people I am describing; but it is not intended to offend or mean that homos and other people with handicap are "abnormal" per se.

the classic Romans have been bi-sexual/gay, that's the genuine reason Christians/Jews/Muslims are against what's organic for a million-3% of the inhabitants, even of alternative animals' homosexuality, like ducks, canines, cats, penguins, curiously. The community American religions have a "2-spirit" thought, older Asian religions even have parallells to this. via being against homosexuality the "new" religions(2000 years in the past, variety of) was hoping they had stick out from all others.

Have YOU talked directly with God about this?
Awfully presumptious of you and your ilk to say what God does and does not approve of.
FYI....Corinthians, and the rest of your bible are pretty out dated.
People like you are nothing more than judgemenal d1cks, swimming in a cesepool of false piety.
sucka!
btw....just took a peek at your photobuk pics....why don't you come out of the closet already?
Yet another homo, shamed into the closet of deep denial by religion.(probably christianity although others are guilty of this as well)
Hey dude, don't hate. Accept who you are and set yourself free!

I don't recall God being the author of anything like that. I didn't know God considered himself Corinthian. But if you want to call the Bible "God's word," you should apply it all consistently and live by it.

it amuses me how u people all decide which parts of the bible are serious and which aren't either its true about alll the sayings, and some crazy oap built a giant boat which rescued all the animals and the rest of the world was cleansed, or that retared story isn't true and so don't take the bible seriously in parts that u want;
u people just use bible to be racist, sexist, bigit as a way of not feeling guilty about it.
and if u pretned that ain't true ur way past the point of being disallusioned and entered the twilight zone.

Other religions obviously don't go by the Bible.

But if you mean why some Christians think homosexuality is okay, then I think they are either uneducated about that part of God's word or afraid to take a stand in a society that promotes gay tolerance.

Because not all of us accept the Bible as literal truth or the word of God. We just happen to think that one's sexual preference has no reflection on the person's value as a human being or how they worship.

Here's why it's in the bible: the jewish tribes put it into leviticus to divinely mandate procreative sex to increase their numbers (to defeat their enemies). The jewish people were then heavily conditioned against gay sex. Paul (Saul of Tarsus) was raised as a jew with that strong conditioning. Paul never met Jesus but he had a strong personality and took it upon himself to write letters to the early christian communities he founded to establish theology (he conferred on occasion with the apostles). Because his personality was strong, his letters were popular and the decision was made to add them to the bible (letters to the romans, to the corinthinians. etc.). It has NOTHING to do with god.
