I was having a discussion with some of my guy friends the other day (I'm a female) and they said that when a woman is truly beautiful (In and out, let's say) that all men will find her attractive. But with women we are different and one guy may be attractive to us because of his personality and eye color, while another woman may find him not attractive.
Is this true because I don't agree at all! :) But I guess only guys could answer that for me, since I'm a girl of course I don't agree! THANKS! :)
BTW--I know looks don't matter at all, because they fade and you are left with a personality which is what matters, but this is what was being discussed and I didn't know if all guys felt this way! Thanks y'all and have a good one! :)

Because of Freud's theory of objectification then it is possible that men not attracted to what is considered a good looking woman have a psychological problem.
Also, most women are overweight or obese, and if a man has a relationship with them, they have an objectification problem.

Absolultely NOT!!! Sure a woman may be beautiful "Inside and Out" but it is not her decision if a guy finds her attractive or not. No one knows what someone else is thinking. An attractive woman may remind a guy of another girl ( and possibly had a bad relationship with ) ... so he would be more inclined to "pass" on her. Also, attractiveness is very subjective. I have to say that personality plays the most important role ... as you said, looks fade ...
Personal note: There was a woman ( not physically attractive by an average guy's standards ) ... with a personality to absolutely die for. Looks can be overcome when the personality can shine through.
Of course this is just my opinion ... I could be wrong :)

There's 3 ways to look at this. 1, People believe that if a woman is beautiful then everyone should think so. 2, A woman may be beautiful but to some she is repulsive. 3, A woman can be beautiful and appreciated as this but people can still find her unattractive. There cannot be one woman that every single male in the worl finds attractive even if somtimes it seems that way with a celebrity. At the end of the day the reason these people have fans is because they are famous and the reason they are famous is because they have fans but does every single person like their BEAUTY, movie or book or cd? NO !!!

yes this is generally true, there are exeptions. In and out doesn't really fit the bill because personality is a different issue and different people are attracted to different things.
A girl who is physically beautifull will be so to most guys because guys have a more uniform idea of beauty. Sure some guys may have preferences, but we aren't going to turn down a hottie because she has black hair instead of brown. or is very tanned or pale when we like the opposite.
women have more of a "mold" to fit as to what they can find attractive and two women can totally disagree on what they find attractive while men generally don't.

Absolutely not!!! I've known lots of beautiful women that I was not attracted to because of their attitudes. I dumped a lot of "hotties" before I found my wife. It's like the old saying goes, no matter how beautiful a woman is, I can assure you there is at least one man out there that is tired of putting up with her crap. Looks alone don't cut it...at least not in my book.

People find all different types of people beautiful. Remember beauty is always in the eye of the beholder! Some people find strange looking creatures to be beautiful sometimes the uglier the better! Different strokes for different folks!

It's all in the eye of the beholder. For example many guys think Julia Roberts is hot. I think shes funny looking. Also a lot of men think Penelope Cruz is hot and to me she looks too thin lipped and nasally.

Well I would say if someone is extremely attractive then most everyone will admit they are attractive but just might not be their type. Look at Brad Pitt. I would say most women and men think he is attractive because he is. He just might not be every ones type. You can think someone is attractive without them being your type.

Guys and Girls are not that much different. Each of us does look for different factors in potential mates (let's be truthful dating's ultimate reason is reproduction via love and marriage).
