What wieght/size gloves should a 120-130 pound male ameuter boxer use in the ring?

There are no contracts in amateur boxing, all participants according to USA Boxing (the governing amateur body) under 156 pounds use 10 oz approved boxing gloves, anything over wear 12 oz. When one spars, well that depends on your Trainer.

All of my sparring partners of this size have used 12 - 16 oz gloves to practice, & 8 - 12 oz to compete (usually determined contractually).

I'm an amatuer kickboxer and I weigh 117 pounds.
I use 10 oz gloves, what ever fits him the best I think he should use, I'm thinking he would best fit a 12 ounce pair of gloves.
