It is believed that before the Flood, all the people and the animals were giant. The fossil record certainly shows examples of giant modern animals and insects, like 8-foot long beavers, 2-foot long grasshoppers, foot-long cockroaches, etc. The Bible says that there used to be a 7th layer to our atmosphere, of ice or water. This layer would have filtered out the damaging rays of the Sun (that cause aging) and would have insulated the planet, plus increasing air pressure. This would have allowed trees and plants also to grow giant. The people living there would have lived for hundreds of years with the aging factors removed or reduced greatly. The increased air pressure would have speeded healing, and they could have run for hundreds of miles without getting tired. When the Flood occurred, this 7th layer fell down, causing the 40 days of straight rain, and the "fountains of the deep" broke open (vast chambers of water underground), which flooded to the surface. So we had water coming from above and beneath. There is currently enough water in the oceans to flood the Earth 2 miles deep everywhere, if you flattened the mountains and brought up the ocean basins. (Those were after-effects of the Flood.)
The fossil record shows not which animals "evolved" first, but which animals got buried first in the Flood. The animals that are already at the bottom, like clams and such, get buried first. then fish, then amphibians, then the slower land animals like reptiles, then slow mammals, then faster mammals, and the biggest and the fastest animals get buried last. Humans, birds and apes are the last to be buried (if at all), because apes can climb to the highest points, humans can float by holding onto debris, and birds can fly around until they run out of gas. That's why their fossils are so rare. Their bodies would float on the surface and rot, and not become fossilized. (Most fossils are only found in sedimentary rock - from a flood - with the exception of those buried in amber, coal or metals.)

Ok well,
In the bible
I think Adam lived to about 900
I think Methusalah made it to about 950
Noah lived to be about 500
Abraham I think lived to be close to 200
His wife had a child at 90 (I think)
Genesis gives details of how long each of the descendants lived to.
In the bible there were tribes of giants in the army that fought King David and Goliath was one of them (he was 7.5 feet tall).
In the Quran I don't know if it talks about how long people lived for, but I think there is something about people when they were first created were much larger and as more and more generations went on they got smaller.
- Adam was 90 feet tall
I haven't read very many hadiths and I'm sure that would give better information regarding heights of people and their ages from an Islamic perspective.
