Does anyone know of any real life mysteries in painting or art ?. I love real life mysteries, such as who shot JFK, UFO's, Ghosts etc. I already know about the theory that the artist walter sickert was jack the ripper !, but similar mysteries or outlandish theories would be great !?

Yes there is! Tom Thompson was a friend of the Canadian Group of Seven painters and would have been a founding member if he had not mysteriously died at the age of forty.He was an expert canoist and wildlife guide in the north but somehow he drowned in Canoe Lake in the summer of 1917. Murder has been suspected in the case but never proven. Thompson produced some of the best art in Canadian history. His stuff was revolutionary. Check out some of his work

i think that The Last supper is full of mysteries. It was painted by Leonardo DaVinci. Also Mona Lisa is full of mysteries.
