Do you own the property? If so.. as long as they are hunting under the rules and regulations governing hunting in Texas it's completely legal.
Now.. if you don't own the property but leasing it.. then you need to ask the owner of the property if this is allowable.
I would suggest that you give your friends a letter to carry with them granting them the right to hunt there and spell out the allowable times, dates and type of game they are able to hunt. This will help reduce the confusion as to what you have the permission to hunt and when. Also, if they get stopped by a game warden or a neighbor that is watching over your property they have the proof that they have permission from you.
Hope this helps!

The best way to answer this, is to check with your local game commission. But, If you own the land, when you post the property, you are telling everybody to stay off the property. YOU are the one that has to prosecute the violator. If you give these people permission to hunt on your land, Then that's fine. As long as you know it is the ones, you gave permission, Let them hunt and nobody will say anything.

You should check with the local regulations. In some areas you have to change the signs to read "No Tresspasing" instead of "No Hunting" In most places however it is ok to give them written consent. Make sure you put dates and time lines on your consent form. I always put "I give permission for so and so to hunt on my property at such and such address for the 2006 hunting season for whitetail deer" this way if you change your mind the next year you don't have to do anything legally to get your permission slip back. I know they are friends but you never know what may happen, they may prove to be unsafe hunters etc and you might not want them to come back.

Sure you can. It is your land. Besides it would be good for you. Alittle money in the pocket and friends hanging around to help you get stuff done after the hunts.
I would check with the Land Management office and your local courthouse on any regulations though.
Thanks

With your written permission. It is after all your property and you have the right to keep who you want off of it. Make sure to type up a list of rules that you want the hunters to abide by and have them sign a copy so there are no misunderstandings. Can I have some venison?

yes. its your property and you can allow certain people to be there. You should change the sign to read "Hunting by lease only." To protect against discrimination charges. Then you choose who to lease to or just say all my leases are sold.

Who posted the land? If you did, then write permission slips for the select few that you will allow to hunt, so that they have documentation to show the game warden. Your land, your rights! At least, until Pelosi gets it!

if it's your land and you give them permission to hunt and they do so lawfully no problem. Unless you have made some kind of deal with the state to keep your land a no hunting area

yes... you can permit anyone you want to hunt on your property... but they must have written consent... either in letter form every year or by legal lease agreement.

I would say yes, as it is your property & the "posted" sign is to keep unwanted hunters out.
