Does it seem like all religions have basically the same story line...I mean....every religion has an all powerful being, and people under them to pass along thier will....God, Angels, Jesus, profits.....Allah, Mohommad......Zues, all the gods under him....to me it just seems that at one time there was one religion and then man decided that it was not right and started to change things....every religious book and story that we know today was written by man....and you all know what people do when they retell a story.....so..whos to say which is right and wrong...and what really happened...to me that is only something we will know when we die.....and really see what becomes of us.....no don't get me wrong...I believe in god....everything has to start somewhere.....but who is to say that christians are right and Muslims are wrong,....a book written by people....someone who talked to god....we call people who say god talked to them crazy now....what the differance from them to moses.....

Dont' get me wrong I am not trying to bash the bible or Islam, or any religion. Questions like these just get people into a debate...and I don't listen to those who just rant...but really have a point to make....

And we will only truly know when we die and meet whatever fate is givin to us.....

Very observant, but really as plain as the nose on your face. Religion of all kinds are rife with human error and exaggerations. They shout(the errors and exaggerations) to anyone with some common sense that the stories and rhetoric that goes with most religions is viable , but the explanation of how we got here, the effects and causes of natural and supernatural phenomena, are a bunch of hoowie. We got here somehow your right. Are we close to explaining it through scientific study and research? We won't know the true answer for many years to come, and that's if we don't kill each other off because of religion, which is by the way the leading cause for a total elimination event for humans. Humanity needs to unite for the sake of humanity, Nothing else.
If you care for you fellow man whether he is christian, Muslim, ect... Wouldn't that make religion irrelevant anyway. We are close to a coming together of massive proportions if the masses come together. Simple huh? Pray for peace among all religions. AMEN

well, good idea but, all the other religions besides christianity is a cult. if you investigate all the other religions down to it's deepest, darkest secrets then you'll eventually find a little loop hole that brings you back to what you originally found in the first place. there is no loop hole in christianity, it was written by God but put on paper by the people he appointed. if you research for your self deeply into the bible, then you'll discover everything is as it should be. People try to prove the bible wrong but they can't because it's not physically possible.

I have not studied all religions, just Christianity, so I can only really answer for mine. Jesus made some bold statements. He said that there is only 1 way to the true God, and that it was him. He said that to deny him was to deny God. He asked for nothing to get a ticket to heaven. He did it all by dying on the cross. He never asked for deeds or money or to kill in his name. All he ever said was that we were to believe in him and his father, God. Jesus, his walk on this earth and subsequent death on the cross, were never disputed in their day. Surely with the writings, someone would have come forward and disputed things. It didn't happen though. Secondly, his walk on this earth and his death, were all predicted hundreds of years before. The chance of even 8 of the prophesies coming true are astronomical, but to have 145 come true is simply amazing. The dating of the writings in the bible is not argued about. With the different languages and references, it is accepted to be true to the date. So to have the prophesies and then to have them come true, is amazing.

Your power of reason can tell you, if the Bible, or any other considered sacred book is inspired of God, or is a product of man's imagintion.

A question to you:

What kind of prof would convince you to say that the Bible is from God?

They do have the basic story line. That is why it is OK to be non-denominational.
We don't trust people now who say they talk to God because there have been too many hoaxes. And too many people who preach who are literally crazy (Waco).

You have a good point, but i think we don't know for a reason. The question you are asking won't be answered until we reach those gates. So you can wonder yourself to death because you won't find out. You will have to be in the dark with all of us.

I agree w/ you 100%... I don't label myself any religion. I believe in god, and pray to God. I wonder the same thing. I don't judge any religion, I respect each one's opinion, and beliefs. I just wish everone did the same...

I disagree. Actually, monotheism with an undetectable God was at a time a revolutionary concept
