So I have serious skin problems and am allergic to almost every face wash out there, except Noxema. Latley the skin on my face has been peeling kind of... like if you had a sun burn and its peeling, but I dont have a sun burn. And its been going on for a couple days does anyone know how I can wash off the dead skin with out using like a scrub???

Best thing to do is "nothing",,let it exfoliate.

It's trying to heal itself.

If you must put something on it,,gently wipe some plain 'ol Cooking Oil/Vegetable oil at bedtime.
Yes,,it's gross and weird and a sorta nasty mess.

But it's also non-allergenic and nutritional to your skin.

If you GOTTA "scrub it off",,,use plain Dry Oatmeal.

You can "test" your skin's PH,,,
Try a dab of vinegar on your fingertip,,,
and a dab of baking soda in a DIFFERENT place.

Use whichever one does NOT burn(if it happens to burn badly,,they instantly neutralize each other)

Use Vinegar in a mild solution with water--it's ACID and will make the dead skin turn loose.

Use Baking Soda like "comet scouring powder",,it's CAUSTIC.

Test FIRST,,and use only one OR the other.

Use a GENTLE motion .

Try using actual DISTILLED water to wash your face.
Especially for RINSING.
Not the usual "drinking water" or "mineral water".
It's about $1/gallon at most any grocery store,,Walmart, etc

Once you determine your skin's tolerance for Acid/Caustic,,,you can even add a little Baking Soda or Vinegar to your Distilled water.

Simply soaking your face in a wet towel of Distilled water will feel good & help remove lots of the dead skin.
Just lay back and relax,,cover your face with the towel.
USUALLY best to use just a room temp,,a Warm Towel increases inflammation

You may want to consider taking some zinc tablets 2~3 times a day,,,1 a day is almost "useless" to get a curative effect.
And it needs to be taken in intervals so it stays in your system,,,Body dont store Zinc.

and a cod liver oil capsule or 2 for general skin health.

Zinc and Codliver oil works Slow,,,but it's an old an time-proven help for lots of people

Most BIZZARE thing,,and you'll think I'm kidding--but I'm serious.
Preparation H,,,hemoroid medicine,,,,it's got some unusal stuff in it,,,and it's like a "miracle drug" for skin probs.
It's got an Odd,mediciney,,mildly unpleasant smell.
And it's VERY greasy,,,and if your friends find out they'll never let ya live it down....Oh well.

Search around the net ,,you'll see Im not kidding.
It's got some amazing properties for skin healing.

I love Noxema,,used it all my life,,,there's nothing better for bad sunburns ,for me anyway.

But at times the menthols and stuff in it can be inflamatory & irritating,,,all while it FEELS great.

Might be worth cutting back on it,,or skipping a few days of use.
Sometimes,,it can definitely Cause irritation & peeling

I dunno if You've ever tried Ivory Soap.
Most places it doesnt work well because of the tap water--water's Too hard
Try washing with Ivory using DISTILLED water.
You might be surprised.

Yellow Dial "Gold" is a deodorant soap,,,but it's a PURE SOAP,,not a detergent.
The scent is not very LadyLike,,,but it's very good for skin probs cuz of it's Mildness and it's anti-bacterial agents.
It's a LONG time favorite of Hospitals cuz of that.

Your skin is called "YOUR skin" for good reason
People can be Similar and have similar Types of Skin,,,
but even so,,Everyone is Unique.

It takes some Patience and dedication to find what works Best for YOU personally.

Some of the stuff I mentioned above,,may be just simply NOT for You.
It may not work,,or Ya may not Like it,,,,thats perfectly fine & even Expected.

There's NO SUCH THING as,,,"here,,Use This,Do That.."
type of OneSize Fits All "cure" that works for EVERBODY.

You have to be Experimental and Careful in finding what's best

I think the stuff I mentioned is worth checking into,,,and Most Important,I dont think ANY of it would be harmful in any way.

Someone has mentiond Diet/the things you eat---very Good advice.Excellent advice
If you don't know much about the specifics it's easy to find info on the net about Do's & Don'ts of food as they relate to skin health

Good Luck,,hope it's all better soon!

*** Do NOT dismiss the idea of using Distilled Water.
It's one of the Most Powerful & Important things you can use for your skin.

Think about THIS---You surely know what a Bathtub Ring is,,and a Toilet Bowl Ring.
Consider how much Water rinses across those surfaces.
And how hard it is to SCRUB that stuff off.

You Bath/Shower,,,then gotta SCRAPE the scum & crust off the tub...

So when you wash your face, and rinse,,,
HOW is a few splashes of water gonna rinse the Exact same Stuff off your FACE?

Most of that is minerals in the Water itself,,which is why it does not "go away".

We literally get outa the tub/shower coated with a "bathtub ring"

You can TEST it Yourself,,real easy,,if you dont beleive that.
>wash your hands with any scented soap
>rinse them the way you normally do,till well rinsed.
>THEN,,TASTE your Fingers,,,and smell your hands
If You can taste Soap or Smell the Scent,,then it's Proof that You have NOT actually Rinsed your hands.
That's the "taste & smell" of a Fresh ,new "bathtub ring"

Then,,,go do same Wash & Rinse Test using Distilled water to RINSE your hands.
The soapy taste and smell will be Gone.
Proof that you've Fully rinsed all that stuff away from your skin.

Tap water varies a HUGE amount from place to place.
It may be Perfectly SAFE to Drink,,,but there's a Lot more to water than sterility.

Rinsing with clean,Pure water not filled with minerals and stuff is the only REAL & EFFECTIVE way to rinse that "bathtub ring" Off your Face's Skin.

Product labels,Claims which say they have ADDITIVES??? to promote thorough rinsing,,are mostly just advertisement.
TRY the wash>rinse>taste Test on THEM,,,you'll see.

Water is the LEAST mentioned skincare/beauty tip.
Why Not?
Cuz It's a Buck a gallon,,and Cannot be Product Protected under a Patent.
Go Find Oil of Olay or whatever,,or even Noxema for a Buck a Gallon...Cosmetics are Hi-Profit BIG Business.

There's NOTHING in Nature or Chemistry which will CLEAN your skin any closer to it's Natural State,,,or SAFER
than Pure,Clean Water .
Rainwater,Melted Snow,,Distilled,or De-Ionized.

Lots of times it's not about what you Put ON skin,,,but what you Wash OFF.
If You are using plain TapWater,,You aren't taking Off anywhere Near as much as it may seem

Best Wishes!

I had a similar problem. It's not what you apply on your skin that gives you the effects, but what you consume. You should take flaxseed/fish oil tablets. it is absolutely great for your skin. It will give you a naturally moisturized and glowy look. I've been only using for 10 days and i can see the progress. In the mean time, mix some raw sugar and papaya in a bowl and apply it to your face. Use it as a scrub.

Use a washcloth and warm water; wash your face GENTLY with the cloth, and then pat it dry. Try a little baby oil to moisturize your face. Noczema can be a bit harsh. Try using it only every other day. Don't use a lot of make-up, don't use hot or cold water on your face. If the condition doesn't improve in a week's time (or if it gets worse) you really should seek professional help.

You can stick to your Noxema. It's a good product. Try getting a humidifier for the home and drink more water!

It sounds like you are allergic to noxema too. Talk to a dermatologist. They may be able to help you find something that you are not allergic to.
