You did well by saying so. Am glad you did not punch her, you're the winner now.

If she (or anyone else) asks questions like this again, try to stay calm and say:

"this is a private matter, I want you to respect that. Don't ask me again"

Apparently you are guilty or else you would have no trouble answering the question! You have abandoned someone and you are guilty! Why would you put it on yahoo answers if it is " so personal". P-DUH! Guilty as charged punch yourself! It is ruder to abandon some one than it is to ask if you visit. Just another phony looking for sympathy from strangers! You are an ate up freak!

obviously you have a lot of anger, but I think you did the right thing by asking why they would want to know. Let them know that ARE being inappropriate and let them change the subject, they will.
