It was generally considered for a while that if Noah's Ark were to be found, it would be on Mt. Ararat.

Due to the extensive searching done by academics and others, it's reasonable to conclude that the Ark will probably not be found, at least on Mt. Ararat. For example, here is an excellent site that documents recent searches:

http://www.noahsarksearch.com/ararat.htm

It also catalogs alleged eyewitness accounts, along with photographs and explanations.

The fact that it has not been found does not prove that it didn't exist or that the Bible is wrong. Conversely, though, incontrovertible proof that the Ark existed does not mean that everything in the Bible is true. The Old Testament was written primarily as a historical document. Thus, there are lots of interesting stuff, even for an agnostic like me.

There is no proof that exists, so your search will be long and hard. They may have found evidence of a big boat on Ararat, but that doesn't mean that was Noah's. Plus, if people claim that the boat is Noah's, then there would be a whole new set of questions that will come out showing the improbability of that actually being Noah's Ark.

Sorry.

I tried asking this same thing back about a month ago when fireball226 claimed it had been seen. She said it wasn't her job to provide the proof of her claims.

I suspect you'll get similiar answers from people.

-----

OHHHH! Even better, you'll have fireball226 herself again making the claim without offering the SLIGHTEST proof.

fireball226, thank you for proving my point.

What would it prove, if a big boat were found there? That the world was flooded, or that the world "as they knew it" was flooded? Or that someone built a big boat in case the world flooded?

They'll never find the shipwreck if God doesn't want them to.

There is some wood there and no one knows how it got there. Is that the proof you wanted? Yeah, me neither.

A falsehood can provide no proof no matter how much it is searched.
