Well, if the girl that i like started dating someone else,
then i wouldn't tell her i like her, but show her that i like her.
for example, touching, flirting, tickling, eye contact, body posture, etc... but then talk to her as if i am not really interested.
Guys do make their first move.
But many guys are afraid to, unless they know the girl as mutual feelings. So if you want the guys to make their first move, just give him some hints that you do!
HOWEVER, guys SUCK at hints, so the girls have to make it obvious. I mean it has to be really really simple!
anything else will confuse the guy or not just pick up the hint at all.

what are you in high school?
If a guy doesn't make the first move he is shy. He may or may not take the chance and "tell her".
He may even try to break them up. If she is dating someone he won't just tell her he will try to get some indication from her to proceed first if she is dating someone else. likely he will flirt or give some "hook" and if she is cold to it, he will not push further. At least that is the tactfull way to try to hit on someone who is already in a relationship.
to sirylias (sorry about the spelling).
Even though it is perfectly, socially acceptable for a woman to make the first move in today's society, there is still a fear of rejection that women have biologically more than a man. Things don't change overnight and most women (there are obviously always exceptions) will be more subtle so as to not be turned down and face public embarrasment. Women fear rejection more than men do.

Guys don't like rejection. I know I will go to a dance and if a couple of girls refuse to dance with me, I generally leave the dance. They need some signals, like a long look, big smile, or walk by and say hello or anything to let us know there is an interest. Then we will ask you out. You might even ask, what are you doing this week end.

I would say something to her and guys make the frist move because gals are slow. They will like someone and never say a word, most of them anyway.Guys love to have a women say something frist but women are afraid that a guy won`t like them.So someone has to have a little back bone.

Most of the guys are like this. but everybody is different. and no i wont ask a girl out while she is dating with someone. i think is disrespectful. the reason why guys dont make the first move because they shy and pride. and more. it depends. but it doesnt matter who ask who out. its life. life is too important compare to these little things. dont let the gender thing get in the way of liking pple. have a good one. any advice: cefurx@yahoo.com

No, you never intrude on another man's property. Yes, I would if she broke up. And we don't make the first move because we don't want the lines of 'Oh, I'm sorry. You are nice and cute looking but I have a boyfriend!" OR 'I'm here with my boyfriend, but that's flattering!" If your there with anyone then why do you sit alone? Ahhhhhhhh! you women drive us crazy! Even the good looking one's!

Why don't I make the first move?-I play it safe & let her make the first move, then I know she's interested. I never try to pick up a woman, especially the "sexy" ones.-they're either taken, can find someone better, or not my type.

in this day and age of equality why do women think that men should make the first move? Men are equally shy as any woman. But personally I would tell her when I realized that was how I felt.

i had this experience. the girls i like never stay single long enough for mi to pluvk up the courage...some guys just want the relationship to be gradual and pop the magic question only when the mood is right...
