It really depends on your metabolism but I need to snack. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, very small snack. If I don't eat in-between meals, I will be very hungry at the next meal.

Also drink plenty of water. Have a "special" bottle that you use just for water. I just an Aquafina 24 oz bottle that I freeze at night and sip on all day. You are suppose to have 8-8oz glasses of water a day but more if you are trying to lose weight.

Don't go food shopping when you are hungry. If there is a checkout lane with no candy, use it.

When you diet, your whole family diets. Everyone can benefit from eating healthier. If you have children and they must have junk, give them money to get it at school and BAN it from the house.

Don't deprive yourself. After you have made sufficient progress, one day a week, treat yourself to 1 thing that's not on your diet. If you want McDonald's fries, ask for the kid size ones. If you deprive yourself of these cravings, you will give into them and overindulge.

Reward yourself. For example, for each 1 lb you lose, put $1 in a jar. When it reaches a certain amount, buy yourself something nice!

Don't look at the scale. Ok, if you must, only weigh yourself once a week at the same time, like in the morning. Measure your success by how much better your clothes fit or how much more weight you can lift.

Incorporate weightlifting in your exercise plan. Muscle weighs more than fat but burns more calories.

Lastly, don't give up. It takes the brain about 21 days to get use to good habits. Don't expect instant results but rejoice over small victories. 1 lb may not seem like a lot but 5 lbs = bag of sugar, 7 lbs = 1 gal of water, and 10 lbs = bag of potatoes

Weight Watchers works and it follows your natural lifestyle. It worked for me and was not difficult at all...just make sure you exercise at least 30-60 minutes 5 times a week! Good luck!

I joined weightwatchers three weeks ago and have lost 19lb already. Weightwatchers works on a points system and each food and drink has a points value. You just have to make sure you do not use more than your allocated points each day. Good luck xx
