I make my own pizza from scratch and place it on stoneware to cook at 400 degree temperature. It takes about 20 - 25 minutes and turns out well in the oven at that degree. Any higher, and the crust would not cook as well, in fact, would probably burn.

Dominoes Corporation cooks their pizza at 500*.
I cook mine around 450*.
*All degrees in Fahrenheit

As hot as (reasonably) possible.
I have great success using the highest temperature my oven will go to. (Supposedly 500F, but, given the oven, I suspect hotter; I have yet to check, though.)
