I'm looking to apply for FAFSA, and I'm not sure if I have a hard copy of it in my records... I know I filed it with TurboTax, but they're assuming that I want to START filing. I don't... I just want my 2005 form. Where do I get it online, or CAN I get it online?

If you want just a blank form, sure, you can get it online at irs.gov. I assume you're trying to get a copy of your actual return for that year. There are instructions at irs.gov for that - type "copy of return" into the search box. You can get a transcript, which gives the information from your return but not an actual copy, at no charge - for an actual copy, there is a charge. Check with FAFSA - they'd probably accept the transcript. It can take several weeks to get either though, you can't get it immediately.

You can get any IRS form online from the link below. Just enter the year and form number in the search field in the upper right portion of the page. I know they go back to 1999. I haven't checked any earlier.
