Some white people can! The ability to grow an afro has nothing to do with the color of your skin but rather the texture of your hair. Some white people have really thick, coarse hair. Most people with hair like this tend to be black though, so there you have it.

You must not know a lot of white people. Any race can grow an afro if they have a certain type of hair texture.

White people hair is too straight to hold the kind of shape.....Black people have naturally curly hair that holds shape and keep in tact for afro's.....Different growing patterns for the different cultures

They can. Have you seen Justin Timberlake in his earlier days? My neighbor back in high school had a huge 'fro back in the day. It has nothing to do with the color of your skin. It's the texture of your hair. Most white people have straighter, softer hair. But some have courser, curlier hair or perms.

Because their hair is to thin to stand...if you look at african people's hair and white people's hair through a microscope, the africans hair would be ten times thicker.

Some white people can. Many black people can't. Depends upon their hair texture.

You can if you have the right hair type no matter what your skin color is. It's just that for caucasians, the type of hair needed is rarer.
