im in love with my love and he is a turkish. What is the proper way or what do turkish people usually do? does the girl family go see the guy's family or vise versa and if do so what you do or give a gifts? especially those muslim turkish family. your help most appreciated

guys family shoud go first..you are the princess honey and kings never go to people and ask if they could marry her daughter.. boy's family should come first with presents..if you want to give the turkish family presents: vase, tea,clothing or make up for the young relatives..etc..it can be anything that you think as a present in your country..but i think the most important present is your attitude..turkish people give a big importance on respect..show your respect to the olders and always smile..if you serve something to eat or drink at first if they don't accept don't give up..insist on!! as a tradition turkish people usually reject the first offers.this is referred to politeness..but there are no strict rules!! they don't live with strict traditional laws..the idea is to have fun..good luck :)
