Actually, it is not the same as a woman's cycle. When an animal is in heat, that means they can get pregnant. That's the only time. Althgough, sometimes an animal can actually make itself come into heat when around a male. Weird, huh?

Yes. However, some b1tches will have what is known as a 'silent heat' where there are no obvious signs. If your ***** has allowed a dog to mate then she probably was in heat, and may well be pregnant. A ***** will not allow a dog to mate her if she is not in heat.

Yes dogs can only become pregnat at certain times....meaning when in heat....and they are like humans....women can only get prego at certain times....they just have cycles more often.

Yes, but please do not allow her to become pregnant! I have a soft spot for pitties and it breaks my heart to think of all the beautiful pups who die in shelters every single day. Please take her to be spayed instead.
