How can you do a tick on microsoft word

Type "P" (without the ") and change the font to "Wingdings 2". Make sure its a capital "P"

Option 1 - Click on Start, Run and type in CHARMAP and click OK. From the Font box choose Windings. Find the tick in the list and click Copy. Then paste it into your document - this will work with any application, not just Word
Option 2 - From Word, click on Insert then Symbol. Again choose Windings in the font list then scroll down 'til you find a suitable tick and click Insert. This will only work with Word.
Option 3 - Make sure your font is Windings and type ALT+0252 (you must use the numeric keypad)

Look in "Insert Symbol" some fonts like windings have ticks, but for a nice looking tick, just search Google Images and copy and paste.

Go to the insert menu. Click on symbol. Then change the font int he box to Sybmol. Scroll down and you will find the tick.

Go to 'Insert', then click on 'Symbol', then change the font to 'Wingdings', scroll through and you will find a tick, then highlight it and click 'Insert'. Then click 'close' to return to the document.

In Word, go to Tools>>Symbols. I cannot remember which Subset (category) it's in though, sorry.
