I went out to dinner with a girl. She ordered chicken sticks. I didn't know if they were grilled or fried so I asked, "is that fried?" She seemed a little bit hurt so I said, "oh I just want to know because I might want to order that but only if it is grilled." Consequently she only took a couple bites of chicken sticks and said she was completely full. Was I insensative?

Not at all. If she's that uptight tread lightly cause you will be walking on eggshells with every subject from here on.

SHe sounds weird. You were just asking a question, it's not like you were being funny. I say call her and ask if you offended her and apologize if you did, but explain you weren't trying to be funny, you just wanted some chicken sticks for heavens sakes.

It depends on how you asked the question and if the girl is insecure with her weight. Ask her out again see what happens.

Totally innocent question & not insensitive.
Maybe she thought you were being insensitive if she has a weight issue or thinks she has a weight issue.
