hdl is increased with exercise, and a little with medicine and fish oils. ldl is decreased with diet, exercise, fish oils, and of course medication. hdl goal is >40 for men, and >50 for women. ldl isn't a concern until >160 unless you have other medical condition, risk factors, etc. talk with your doctor and get a cholesterol checkup if you haven't.
