What are certo and sorbitol powders?

I am told they are used in making jam/marmalade for diabetics. Where can they be obtained?

they can be found in specialty food shops or some of the larger chains of grocery stores...but i have also heard that the artificial sweetner sorbitol will give you the runs like you cant imagine
