Mmm, my favourite is a baked dinner. Take a cut of meat (I prefer chicken or turkey) and some vegetables (potato, sweet potato, pumpkin, maybe some garlic or carrot). Season well, chuck in the oven and cook somewhat slowly (the best was chicken in an ovenproof bag, cooked for around 3 hours on like 150 C). Then as the meat is resting, you get the pan juices, mix in a little flour (or gravy powder, if that's your thing) and make some gravy. I'd have it like every night if it didn't take so long and it wasn't so hot!

Vareniky (perogi) Its alot of fun when you get a bunch of people together to make them from scratch. When my children get older they will be helping.

Also even though its not a Ukrainian dish but it tastes great with Vareniky is Saurbraten. MMMmmm Saurbraten gravy with Vareniky is so yummy.

My hubby would say his fav homecooked meal is my lasagna with roasted garlic spread on some freah rolls.
