I have a bf with no job..but he says he is trying. what do I do?

he says that he is trying but he has a felony charge against him and most employers wont hire him. But he doesn't get up and go looking early, he waits till 11 or 12 before he leaves the house and then he only goes to one or two places.. what should I do? I pay for our house plus all bills including his cell phones....pls help!

really in this situation you dont need to go to someboday else you should do what feels right for you. Most jobs like it when people go @ 8:30-10:30am. Just think it through and you will find your answer

I think you can do better.

The economy is bad, but it sounds like he's not even trying. I'd be more impressed if he was treating LOOKING for a job as seriously as if that WAS his job. You don't want to support him for 5 years while he "waits for a management position to open up."

Cut off his cell phone this week, and if he doesn't have a job doing something by the end of the month, even flipping burgers, move on. life is too short.

well dear, you need to make it YOUR job to get him a job...if it is possible for you to take him to jobs do it..if you can write resumes for him do it and submit them to all the jobs you can....
anyone and every one can pump gas, or turn a wrench at a small garage...depending where you live he can do yard work...
clean out garages, and so forth..there is always a job always...make it your job to get him going and you do the looking for him. MAKE him leave the house at 7 am and go to the employment office and look for a job..
not trying to get in trouble..but if millions of people that do not even have proper paperwork to be in this country can make any where from 500 to 1500 a week..why can't he..and I am talking about LEGAL work too..not any illegal stuff like drugs..
so he can do it if he wanted too..he just does not want to..why not he has a FREE ride..and he knows he will have a free ride

think about it.is this whee you want to be in five or ten years...?

Well, that is true, most wont hire because of his felony, but that, is his fault. Help him, take him to those job places, it looks as if he has no motivation, so you have to motivate him yourself. Sometime go get tons of applications from places that you think will hire him, take them home, let him fill them out, and take them back. I know he should be doing it himself, but like i said, he has no ambition it seems and they would probably just lay on the table blank anyways.
