I have the Mirena IUD. I haven't gained any weight with it. That was one of my main concerns before getting it!

I would suggest the NuvaRing (www.nuvaring.com) - it worked for me! I also got pregnant while I was on the Pill, so after I had the baby, I didn't want to use the Pill anymore (besides, it made me nauseated all the time - no fun). My doctor introduced me to the NuvaRing, and at first I was rather hesitant because I didn't think it would be comfortable. But I decided to give it a try, and it was so easy to use and so convenient that I just loved it! And it's not uncomfortable either, once you put it in, you hardly feel that it's there, and no problem with sex either. I didn't get pregnant at all. The best thing about it was that I didn't have to worry about taking it at the same time everyday like the pills, I only had to insert it in for one day, leave it there for 3 weeks, and take it out for one week (in the meantime you're having your period), and at the end of the one-week break, you insert a new one in. It also did not make me gain weight, in fact, I think that it helped me lose the baby weight fast. I guess it can vary with every person, but that was my experience.
I hope I was able to give you a helpful suggestion. Goodluck with everything!!

I have a Copper T Paraguard IUD. I love mine. I was on birth control pills for years and HATED them. I don't even know the IUD is there...
The IUD is good for 10 years, is very effective and 100% reversible too. So if you decided you want another baby, your OB GYN takes it out, and you can be fertile that day if it is the right time of the month. And you don't have to mess with inserting it or anything, just check it after your period each month to make sure you can still feel the threads.

You might want to try Othro-Tricylen Lo. I think that is how you spell it, however, it has really helped me out. I have been on it for three years and I have lost weight and gained a little of it back. For the most part though I have lost weight but everyones bodies act differently to birth control. Just talk to your OBGYN and see want they tell you and based on that make your choice. As long as you have all the infomation on birth control and are working with your OBGYN to make that choice you should be able to find one that will work the best for you.

My Dr. gave me an IUD after I had my daughter. I love it! I don't have to worry about taking pills or replacing anything. And it lasts for 5 years but can be taken out at any time if I want to have kids sooner! Check into it.

well, Depo is very effective, who wants to remember to take pills when they've got a new baby?! I've heard of some woman having very strange side effects, and others having none. Myself, when I was on it, I was moodier than normal (however I am prone to depression, and I had just given birth to twins), but no weight gain.
Good luck with your new baby!
