He can't get enough bathtime. When I get him out after an hour, he screams, "More Bath!". He takes at least 1 one hour bath a day and sometimes 2 on the weekends. Has anyone else had this problem? Help me please !

Oh, it will get worse?

My 14 month old LOVES her baths, and we can't even say the word, or else she will scream and cry until she gets one. She will crawl into our bathroom and throw her bath toys into the tub and yell for us until we come in and give her a bath. And when it comes time to be done, she screams and cries.

When I asked her doctor, I was told that it was something very relaxing to her, and that also it was time she had our undivided attention, so it may be her enjoying the time with us and relaxing rather than just wanting to be very clean.

What we do? We set a small kitchen timer in the bathroom, and set it for about 30 minutes. When the timer dings, we tell her it is time to get out. At first, she didn't like it, but now she is used to it, and she knows when she hears the timer, bath time is over. She still will cry once in a while, but most of the time, it is rather successful.

He obviously loves the water. The trick to make it shorter is to have something planned after the bath that would be more fun for him then a bath. Maybe he isnt having enough fun activies he likes outside of bathtime.

both of my daughters loved the bath, my 5 year old still does.sometimes they would take 3 baths a day and go swimming. I tub is a great place for them to use their imaginations. I love listening to their world of make- believe. In my opinion it isn't a problem, it should make things a bit easier for a minute, if he stays in the same spot for more than 2 minutes. good luck

ALL of my children love to take baths..when it's summer time you can't keep them out of the water...he's a water baby. Don't be upset about it...he's a boy, at least he love to bathe...some don't. He will eventually get over the wanting to be in the tub all the time thing and then he's going to be all over the swimming pool.

Bath time is fun for kids they like them. Enjoy it while it last at about ten some kids decide they hate bath time and it is a struggle to get them in.

2 yr olds love water play. Look into buying a sensory table or go cheap and get him a dish pan to play in. It's not the bath he wants necessarily it's just the water.

Do you let him play in the tub? He obviously thinks it is fun to play in the water. Think about it, little kids like those little wading pools. Why not like the tub?

Also are you putting him to bed right after bath time? He is using it as a tactic so he won't have to go to bed (completly normal for a kid to hate bed time)

Obviously, he really enjoys bathtime. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, just enjoy your time together before he wants to kick you out of the bathroom forever.

be happy he likes to take a bath. it must be fun in there for him. to him that tub must be so huge. there is all kinds of games to play in there. sign him up for some swimming lessons. let him take an hour in the tub. and sit there with a book and watch him.

They like water it's fun. But maybe he needs a routine in the bath! Ten minutes play, ten minutes wash and play again, then out! He'll get used to it. Temot him out with something he likes!
