For a drink visit the Crown Bar on Great Victoria Street (http://www.crownbar.com/), it's one of Northern Ireland's oldest pubs and is beautiful inside. Not far up the road from there is Robinson's Bar...last time I was there they had a band playing traditional Irish music, was good craic.

You could stay in Jury's Inn which is just opposite the Crown Bar and around the corner from the coach station which has coaches direct to the airports.

Try and get a tour of City Hall - beautiful building.

Seeing as you've got a car, about 14 miles north of Belfast is Carrickfergus which has a Norman Castle in amazing condition, worth a visit. Or less than 3 hours drive will take you to Dublin, Eire.

The official tourist site for Belfast is below:

completely probability-free. flow for it. Belfast and northern eire has made wide improvements over the years. There are continually difficulty spots, like in each and every city. there have been days once you does not walk up particular streets as you'll recognize you've been soliciting for it yet that has virtually all replaced. do not go by those parts at nighttime yet in the course of the day no complication. As for Belfast city itself, that is purely like quite a few different city. the days of military patrolling the streets are lengthy lengthy lengthy gone. You wont observe any enormous difference from different cities now. I have tried to have conversations with people about faith in artwork places yet you purely get no answer. the concern isn't pronounced between well-known prevalent people. Many (not that many) of the flash factors lately are in co armagh and craigavon etc.
