I love that you already have a theme. Most parents don't know what to do about that part, so this should make it a bit easier.

-Football Birthday Cake - Fun shape enough said.

-Take a turf mat and create a mini football field - should be about 7ft long by 2.5ft wide. Then decorate with fave football team, in your case, the Colts.

- Football oriented games:
-Football throw through a tire - self explanatory
-Field Goal kick - self explanatory
-QB scramble - get some bean bags, pillows, or cushions and have the kid run through trying to scramble into the endzone.

-A little out there but attempt in getting a player to come out. for free. Told you it was out there.

All in all, you can use these and tweak to fit what you see best. So, I hope I could help you.

I would focus on activities, the decore is secondary and should be simple just go football and Colts. Think of games you can play that surround the idea of football but they don't have to be playing foot ball. You can also make the gift giving time a sort of game in itself make your son throw a nerf foot ball threw a hoop or somthing like that. If you can think of ways to include the others maybe somthing like a present hand off circle with your son being the last to get it handed off too. Or a pass the present to the birthday boy but this may get out of hand or hurt someone make them line up and take turns. Just set up perametors and you will have a good time. For other activitys Things like team work, and physical contact (not necessarily tackle but something subtly physical like tag) and hand eye coordination activities are related to football and are the benefits. It might all so be fun to make a pin the ball in the running backs hand or something of that sort. And if you have a bunch of boys and want to were them out tug of war is good but divide them equally so that both teams are fare and get the fathers in there to make it more fun and for that coach or quarter back feeling. make sure your rope is cotton or very soft you don't want plastic splinters or anything to rough.

Celebrate it on the weekend before his b day. What about renting a section of the skating rink? They can all skate-play laser tag and have a great time. Invite all his class and his friends and that way they can run wild and no clean up for you! Take the cake and icecream there! Afterwards stop and get a few pizzas for everyone!!!!! This wont cost a whole lot and it should make him extremely happy! Good luck

We live in Missouri and at the local grocery stores they have tons of Kansas City Chiefs cakes, I'm sure in Indiana they'll have Colts cakes. For decorations, just do a football theme or do the team colors.
