I want to buy one canon camera A540 and found it is only 6 m. Do you think it is enough for me to store photos? one friend said that generally the storage is over 100 m. Is her right? If necessary, can you help check the real storage of it?

The MegaPixels of the camera do not affect storage capabilities. The MegaPixels tell you how big the picture that you are taking can be printed, and also how good the resolution may be.

Storage capabilites rely on the SD card you purchase to go with your camera. The bigger the card, the more pics you can store. Just remember that the more pics you have on the card, the slower the camera will become.

The best idea is to get a good sized card, but download the photos regularly to another storage media, such as a flash drive or to your computer.

Good luck and happy photo taking!

I think the m stands for "megapixel" which is the quality of the photographs, the more m the more detail is captured. Buy a memory chip, think they go to 512 megabytes, which is many photos.
